He is survived by: his wife Barbara Armstrong of Zwolle, Louisiana; his sons, David Jay Armstrong (Vivian) of Zwolle and Jimmy Dean Armstrong (Carmella) of Many, Louisiana; his stepsons, Greg Dyess of Mansfield and Lloyd Dyess of Bossier City, Louisiana; his daughters, Jan Bonnette (Terry) of Tyler and Jerri Lynn Tovar of Fayetteville, Arkansas; his stepdaughter LaJuana Gooden (Jerrell) of Mansfield, Louisiana; and his siblings, Sue Walraven of Stonewall, Louisiana, Lavell Armstrong of Stonewall and Doug Armstrong of Joaquin, Texas. He is also survived by 14 grandchildren; 34 great-grandchildren; and 2 great great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, December 31st 2024 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Rose-Neath Funeral Home (9891 Texas Hwy, Many, LA 71449). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, January 1st 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Wednesday, January 1st 2025 at 3:00 PM at the Zwolle City Cemetery (1553 Obrie St, Zwolle, LA 71486).
