He was predeceased by: his parents, Ernest Joshua Speights and Della Speights (Gandy); his siblings, Dr. Earl Speights and Ernestine Dees; his nephew Bob Speights; and his great-nephew Zachary Fordham.
He is survived by: his nieces, Nancy Wright of Many, LA, Judy Boyd of Natchitoches, LA, Laura Eidt of Natchez, MS, Susan Fordham of Downsville, LA and Edith Nicholson of Forest, LA; and his nephew John Dees of Ferriday, LA.
