He was predeceased by: his wife Madeline "May" Moreau Chatelain; his parents, George Chatelain and Rena Dorgant Chatelain; and his sister Barbara "Bobbie" Chatelain Langlois. He is survived by: his daughters, Cindy Chatelain VanNatta (Milton) of Shreveport and Karleen Chatelain Lacombe of Marksville; his granddaughters, Amber Lacombe, Laurie VanNatta Jones (Evan), Katie VanNatta and Mollie VanNatta; and his great grandchildren, Levi, Ella Jones and Axil Lacombe.
In lieu of flowers, the family request that donations be made to the St. Paul the Apostle Knights of Columbus Chapter in Mansura.
