He was predeceased by: his wife Carol Gauthier Durand; his son Leon; his parents, Leon Jacques and Irma Scallan Durand; and his siblings, Josephine Ory, Zeline, Prevot, Julius Durand, William Durand, Bruno Durand and Julie Descant.
He is survived by: his children, Alicia Durand Laborde (Paul), Ronnie Durand, Jr. (Sonya), Caroline "Tookie" Durand Escude and Amelia Durand (Steven White); his grandchildren, Renee Laborde Suire (Daniel), Adam Laborde (Melanie), Matthew Laborde, Kelly Michel (Heath), Averie Rachal (Clark), Ellen Durand, William Durand, Erik Durand, Christina Thornton and Theresa Robert (Jacques); and his great grandchildren, Alex, Caroline, Lillian Laborde, Evan, Aaron Michel, William, Hannah Thornton, Elise, Lucy, Landry and Jacques Robert.
