He is survived by: his wife Vida Steptore James; his children, Lonest A. James, Jr. (Pamela) of Oklahoma, Derrick M. James of New Orleans, Lorenzo Allen (Theresa) of Oklahoma, Dawn-Dominic Etaje, Carlita Alexander of Oklahoma, Arnofaye Davis and Serada Fox of Cottonport; his brothers, Terrance James (Iris Ann) of Tacoma, Washington and Richard James (Ruby) of Tacoma, Washington; and his siblings-in-law, Joyce James of Mansura, Cora Steptore Ellis of Baton Rouge, Beatrice Steptore Ford (Jessie) of New Orleans, Edna Steptore Carter (Huey) of New Orleans and Edward Steptore, Jr. of New Orleans. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
