With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Johnny Preston Hess Sr. of Mansura, Louisiana, born in Venice, Louisiana, who passed away on December 29, 2021 at the age of 89. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Dora Hess, Sr. (Mulder) and Willie Hess; and his siblings, Robert, Henry, Huey, Jerry and Julia.
He is survived by: his wife Irene Hess (Richardson); his sons, Johnny Hess, Jr., Dan Hess (Michael), Trevor Hess and Glynn Hess; and his siblings, Dora Hess (Roeder) and Roy Hess. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren, and 14 great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the SAVCENLA or Wounded Warrior Project.
