He is survived by: his children, Terri Jones (Derrick), Ilka Babino Calhoun, Johnell Babino, Jr. (Kim), Cory Babino (Dreama) and Donell Babino, Sr. (Khalilah); his grandchildren, Brandon James, Sr., Kequawana Lewis, Rueben Carter, Donell Babino, Jr., India Calhoun, Anthony Babino, Aaron Babino, Lashanda Pitts, Robert Edwards, Shawanda Edwards Brumfield and Joshua Edwards; his great grandchildren, Brandon James, Jr., King Martin, Paris Marin, Laya James, Isaiah Edwards, Asia Williams, Jeremiah Williams, Michaella Gardener, Ebony Gardner, Dallas Gardner, Aaron Porter, Shakayla Brumfield, Ava Edwards, Arielle Edwards, Jayda Edwards, Aaron Edwards, Imani Edwards, Kennedy Edwards, Brenazia Edwards and Juneaux Edwards; his sister Emma Steib; his goddaughter Betty Seymour Anderson; and his great-nephew Richard Christoff, Jr..

A funeral service was held on Saturday, April 26th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Our Lady of Prompt Succor Catholic Church (1910 Escude St, Mansura, LA 71350). A burial was held on Monday, April 28th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Restlawn Memorial Park Cemetery (3540 US-90, Avondale, LA 70094).
