It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Hazel Holmes of Mansura, Louisiana, who passed away on August 6, 2020, at the age of 98, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her children, Charles Holmes and Margaret Heard; her husband Piltrice Holmes, Sr.; and her parents, Felton Sampson and Carrie Sampson.
She is survived by: her children, Caroline Holmes of Chicago, Priscilla Holmes of Chicago and Piltrice Holmes, Jr. of Chicago; and her grandchildren, Dwayne Holmes, Sr., Qiana Holmes, George Heard, Paul Heard, Michael Keith Holmes, Jr., Tracy Holmes, Kent Harper, Marcella Holmes, Lynetta Holmes and Kenyell Dixon. She is also survived by numerous great-grandchildren, extended family and friends.
Due to Covid Mandates, the visitation will be limited to 50 people at a time.
