He is survived by: his children, Cassandra Lee (late Jeffery), Kenneth Holmes (Kina) of New Orleans, Tyrone James (Ramona) of Houston, TX, Cathy Holmes of New Orleans, Keith Holmes (Lea) of Atlanta, GA, Kendrick Holmes (Rasheeka) of Dallas, TX and Gene Holmes, Jr. (Judy) of Mansura; and his siblings, Waver St. Romain, Patricia Holmes Brooks and Rodney Holmes. He is also survived by his eighteen grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, and Godchildren.
