He was predeceased by: his son Patrick Sampson; and his parents, Paulin Sampson and Regina Batiste Sampson. He is survived by: his wife Rose Marie Sampson of Mansura; his children, Dorothy Augustine (Russell) of Mansura, Authuratte Wright of Mansura, Mary Carmouche of Mansura, Stephanie Thomas of Mansura, Edward Sampson, Jr. of Mansura, Quentin Sampson of Mansura and Michael Sampson of Mansura; his siblings, Marie Barton of Marksville, Madeline Lacour of Alexandria, Mary Dupas of Mansura, Joseph Sampson of California and Merlin Sampson of California; and his grandchildren, Demond Sampson (Tenika), O'Brien Sampson, Najee Augustine, Raven Wright, Myesha Carmouche, A'Martinaz Jones, Scott Augustine, Michael Sampson, Patrick Augustine, Devin Thomas, DeMarcus Thomas and Emyra Jones. He is also survived by twelve great-grandchildren; three godchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.
