Barbara Lachney Obituary
Services for Barbara Lachney will be held in the chapel of Kramer of Fifth Ward at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, November 11, 2022. Interment will follow in Lamartiniere Cemetery.
Visitation will be held on Friday, beginning at 9:00 a.m. until time of service.
Barbara Lachney, 82, of Mansura, passed away on Wednesday, November 9, 2022, at Rivière de Soleil.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Eugene and Bertha Normand, and her grandson Wyatt Ducote.
Barbara retired from the Avoyelles Prison after serving several years in security. She was married 26 years to Paul Lachney.
Those left to cherish her memory include her children, Ryan (Bernadine) Guillory of Mansura, Shelia (Ronnie) Ducote of Effie, Jill (Johnny) Coco and Brett (Becky) Guillory both of Marksville; grandchildren.
Clay Guillory, Justin Guillory, Jillian Coco, John Victor Coco, Skylar Guillory, and Jay Guillory, 2 great-grandchildren, and one sister, Carol Normand Guillory of Mansura. She also leaves behind her step children, Pauline Lachney, Belinda (Richard) Hagar, and Steven Lachney.
