A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered for Amy McDonald Guillory on Tuesday, February 28, 2023 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church with Rev. Stephen Scott Chemino officiating. Burial will follow in the Pythian Cemetery under the direction of Melancon Funeral Home, Bunkie.
The family request that visitation be observed at Melancon Funeral Home on Monday, February 27, 2023 from 4:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. with a Rosary Service at 6:00 p.m. and resume on Tuesday, February 28, 2023 from 8:00 a.m. - 9:45 a.m.
Mrs. Guillory, age 46, of Mansura, passed away at her residence on Wednesday, February 22, 2023. She was a graduate of Tioga High School and loved taking care of children. But she absolutely loved the Saints!! The hobbies she loved the most were gardening and flowers. She was preceded in death by her mother, Barbara Malbreaugh McDonald, her paternal grandfather, Curtis McDonald and her maternal grandparents, C.L. Malbreaugh and and Ethel Lachney.
She is survived by her husband, J. Scott Guillory of Mansura; her son, Hayden Longino of Cottonport, her father, Hansen "Snookie" McDonald of Cottonport; her brother, Brian McDonald of Cottonport; her paternal grandmother, Hazel C. McDonald of Mansura; her step-daughter, Brittney G. Ducote and husband, Gage, of Cottonport; her step-son, Brandon Guillory and Nicole Moreau of Bayhills; her step grandchild, Amelia Ducote and her father and mother-in-law, Elwood and Mary Ann Guillory of Cottonport; her nieces, Brianna Medlin, Brittany Palumbo, Brittany Chelette and Brooke Chapman and her three fur babies, Lil Boy, Lilly and Sam.
