He is survived by: his wife Gertie Dale Slay; his brother Wayne Melton; his children, Deborah Silmon and Steve (Laura Turner Melton); his grandchildren, Tamara Taylor (Bruce), Christy LeDuff (Chip), Dusty Silmon (Angela) and Mandy Adams (Shane); and his great grandchildren, Jarred Taylor, Timothy, Steven, Turner Adams, Benjamin LeDuff, Maddie Hinson, Aaron Maroney and Tenlee Silmon. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, and cousins.
