He was predeceased by: his parents, James W. Smith and Millie Johnson Smith; and his son James Carl Smith. He is survived by: his significant other Irene Smith; his daughters, Judy Ann Smith Naramore (Roger) and Belinda Smith Liebgott (John); his daughter-in-law Vickie Smith Badillo (Tony); and his sister Ruby Smith Williams. He is also survived by 14 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren along with numerous nieces, nephews, and other family members & many friends.
