He was predeceased by: his parents, Laura Sims, and Clyde Sims, Sr.; and his siblings, Don Sims, Jimmy Sims, Sr. and Doris Seago Sims.
He is survived by: his nephew Jimmy Ray Sims, Jr.; his wife Billie Sims; his daughters, Billye Jo Winkler (James Burch), Donna Garrett (Charlie) and Karen Evans (Robert); his siblings, Helen Grounds, Patsy Robinson, Mabel Bledsoe and Richard Sims (Nita); and his grandchildren, Chrissy Lee (Cody), Cedric "Dylan" Sims (Nakiesha), Dakota Winkler, Robert "Tookie" Sims, Dajah, Emily Winkler, Tyra Sims, Lane Mitchell (Kelly), Dalton Garrett, Noriesha Smith (Dana), Kaniesha Evans, Damarcus Evans, Shelby Garrett, Morgan Gray (Kenneth) and Dezi Garrett. He is also survived by nieces, nephews and great grandchildren.
