She was predeceased by: her parents, Wallace Wagner and Helen Hales Wagner; her former husband James Mason; and her sister Wallis Raye Chaney. She is survived by: her husband Don Bates; her children, Jim Mason (Kathey) and Jan Nichols (Parry); and her grandchildren, Vanessa Bailey (Robert), Mindy Shaw, Tiffany Terrell and Kayce Jones (Jacob). She is also survived by 13 great-grandchildren.
