She was predeceased by: her parents, Wallace Wagner and Helen Hales Wagner; her former husband James Mason; and her sister Wallis Raye Chaney. She is survived by: her husband Don Bates; her children, Jim Mason (Kathey) and Jan Nichols (Parry); and her grandchildren, Vanessa Bailey (Robert), Mindy Shaw, Tiffany Terrell and Kayce Jones (Jacob). She is also survived by 13 great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, October 2nd 2024 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Rose Neath Funeral Homes - Mansfield (943 Polk St, Mansfield, LA 71052). A celebration of life was held on Thursday, October 3rd 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Grand Cane Cemetery.
