He is survived by: his wife Monita Ann Ritter; his sons, Dr. Kenneth Ellis McDonald, III (Linda), Gary Coates McDonald (Joyce) and Jody Ritter McDonald (Cherie); and his grandchildren, Monita Alice Howington (Preddy "Pops"), Kenneth Ellis McDonald IV, Michelle Hogan (Josh), Gary Coates McDonald, Jr., John Tanner McDonald (Ashley), Caroline Windham Foote (Jeremy), Hunter Windham and Kasey McDonald Johnson (Blake).
In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be made to St. Jude's or Shriners Children's Hospital.
