He was predeceased by: his parents, Charlie, Sr. Johnson and Edna Denmon Johnson; his wife Geraldine Lowry Johnson; and his brother George Johnson. He is survived by: his son Michael Johnson; his stepsons, Jimmy Smith, Wayne Smith (Debra) and Leslie Smith; his sisters, Francis Stevens and Pauline Freeman (Jimmy); and his sister-in-law Helen Johnson. He is also survived by numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
