Valery Laing Obituary
We are sad to announce that on July 26, 2023, at the age of 94, Valery Laing of Mandeville, Louisiana, born in Baton Rouge, Louisiana passed away. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Valery Laing to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her husband Will Harvey Laing; her daughter Dr. Carol Laing Ritter; and her sisters, Dorothy Valentine Keller and Fern Valentine Devenney. She is survived by: her granddaughter Marcella Fink (Steve); her great grandchild Daniel of Metairie, Louisiana; her grandson Scott Ritter (Meghan); her great grandchildren, Emerson and Everett of Mandeville, Louisiana.; and her sister Frances Thieke (Bob) of Dallas. She is also survived by other nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to the Carol Laing Ritter Education Leadership Fellowship Endowment with Sam Houston State University with the Office of University Advancement.
