She was predeceased by: her husband William "Billy" Bernard. She is survived by: her son Wes Barr (Nicole); her sisters, Barbara Carroll and Sandra Dufour; and her grandchildren, Juliana, Vivian and Gabriel. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

In lieu of flowers the family ask that donations be made to NAMI (National Alliance on Mental Illness) of St. Tammany.
