He was predeceased by: his parents, Gerald Gordon Ness and Virginia Alice Kaufenberg; his sister Carolyn Hoehle; and his brother-in-law Robert Helm. He is survived by: his wife Corinne Helm Ness; his siblings, Rick Ness (Judy), Jim Ness, Jack Ness (Diane), Mark Ness (Karen), Lisa Ness (Lisa) and Jane Cahill (Pete); and his siblings-in-law, Chad Helm, Michael Helm (Kellie), William Helm (Elizabeth) and Suzanne Edwards (Kevin). He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
