He was predeceased by: his wife Mary Olivia Hough Gardner; and his granddaughter Rosa Elias. He is survived by: his daughters, Judy Gardner Elias (Timothy) and Cheryl Christina Gardner (Harold); and his grandchildren, Nicholas Moore, Kayla Moore, Tiamaree Elias Blanco, Haley Cundiff, Logan Cundiff and Olivia "Livie" Cundiff. He is also survived by 16 great grandchildren.
