He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward Boettner and Helen Boettner; his former wives, Adelaide Boettner and Nancy Jacobs Boettner; his son Robert Anton Boettner, Jr.; and his siblings, Edward Boettner and Ruby Boettner Holliday.
He is survived by: his wife Jean Boettner; his brother Barry Boettner; his daughters, Kim Boettner Martt (Bob), Peggy Boettner, Susan Boettner Cazaux (Lanny) and Wendy Boettner (Michael Bohlke); his grandchildren, Whitney Parrott Busscher, Corey Cazaux, Christopher Cazaux, Preston Parrott, Thomas Boettner, Kathryn Boettner and Christina Lindsay; and his great grandchildren, Adelaide, Graham, Elaine Busscher, Paisley, Bowen, Parker Parrott and Luca Cazaux.
