He was predeceased by: his parents, Laurence C. Williams and Lillian Himsel Williams; and his siblings, Ronald A. Williams and Francis L. Taylor. He is survived by: his wife Sharon Godwin Williams; his children, David Williams (Nubia) of Fort Worth and Vicky Archer (Doug) of Ponte Vedra, Florida; and his grandchildren, Hannah Hodge of Seattle, Nathaniel and Noah Archer of Ponte Vedra, Florida. He is also survived by many extended family members and friends.
