He was predeceased by: his siblings, Thomas Stafford and Nona Swiger; and his grandchildren, Jason Scarborough and Jordinn Scarborough. He is survived by: his wife Carole Furness Stafford; his children, Barbara Stafford (Bill Davidson) and Julie Scarborough (James); and his grandchildren, Tonya Scarborough (Stephen), Melissa Liskowski (Fredrick), James Scarborough, III (Jessica), Jessica Faulk (Trent) and Jaelinn Scarborough.
