He was predeceased by: his former wife Mary Dugas Lee; and his sister Deborah Lee. He is survived by: his son James J Lee, III (Lauren); his granddaughters, Ava and Zoe; his sister Sandra Lee; his siblings-in-law, Marcia Dugas Shelton (James), Barbara Dugas Rivet (Charles), Elizabeth Dugas Beadle (Brian) and Kennedy Joachim Dugas, Jr. (Lydia); his nieces, Lacey Maynor, Erin LiSik, Michelle Arceneaux and Ashley Delcambre; and his wife Lee Financial. He is also survived by spouses, their children and other family members and devoted friends.
Visitation was held on Saturday, April 12th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the E. J. Fielding Funeral Home & Cremation Services (2260 W 21st Ave, Covington, LA 70433). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Saturday, April 12th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the E. J. Fielding Funeral Home (2260 W 21st Ave, Covington, LA 70433). A burial was held on Saturday, April 12th 2025 at the Pinecrest Memorial Gardens (2280 W 21st Ave, Covington, LA 70433).
The family requests no flowers and instead humbly asks for donations to be made in Jim's memory to St. Tammany Hospital Foundation in support of either the Healing Arts Initiative or patient programs at St. Tammany Cancer Center.
