It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Harold Joseph McCabe Jr. of Mandeville, Louisiana, born in New Orleans, Louisiana, who passed away on April 5, 2025, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his wife Joyce Engelbracht McCabe; his parents, Harold Joseph McCabe Sr. and Myrtle Cecile Clew; his sister Velma Caronna; his stepmother Edna Springman Bokenfohr McCabe; and his stepsister EdnaMae Bokenfohr Bourgeois.
He is survived by: his children, Keith McCabe (Terry) and Karen Gunther (Richard); and his grandchildren, Garrett McCabe, Ryan Gunther (Sarah), Kevin McCabe (Michelle) and Katie Gremillion (Marc). He is also survived by four great-grandchildren and many extended family members and friends.
Visitation was held on Friday, April 11th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the E. J. Fielding Funeral Home & Cremation Services (2260 W 21st Ave, Covington, LA 70433). A funeral service was held on Friday, April 11th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Friday, April 11th 2025 at 11:45 AM at the Pinecrest Memorial Gardens Cemetery (2280 W 21st Ave, Covington, LA 70433).
