He is survived by: his wife Dorothy Frances Burton; his children, Steven Nelson (Tracy) and Rebecca Melton (Alan); his sisters, Carol Sue Lowry (John), Mary Jeffries (Richard), Alice Nelson and Milly Long (Kenny); and his stepchildren, Brittney Hager (Mike), Colleen Couvillon (David), Jeffrey Burton, Jr. (Catherine) and John Burton (Brittany). He is also survived by eleven grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
