It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Edgar James Mathews III (Mandeville, Louisiana), born in New Orleans, Louisiana, who passed away on August 12, 2018, at the age of 61, leaving to mourn family and friends. He is survived by: his spouse Karen Hewitt Mathews; his children, Edgar James Mathews, IV and Sarah Marie Mathews; and his siblings, Amy Mathews Zimmer (Rick), Edwin Roy Mathews (Pamela), Beth Mathews Golden (Bill), Jo Mathews Gautreaux (Michael) and James Hewitt, Jr. (Pattye). He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles and friends.
