He was predeceased by: his son Alfred Mark Smith; his parents, Genevieve Chastang Smith and Robert Walker Smith; and his brother Robert. He is survived by: his wife Carmella "Dolly" Dagro Smith; his siblings, Ronnie, Richard and Dennis Smith; his grandchildren, Ryan, Christopher, Mikey and Jennifer Smith; and his great grandchildren, Jameson Smith, Val and Mark Sevin. He is also survived by cousins, nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, Masses or donations in memory of Mr. Smith to be made to Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church are appreciated.
