He was predeceased by: his parents, Gloria Barilleau and Simion Masangya; and his brother Norman Melan. He is survived by: his children, Kelly Masangya Plaier (Jeff) and Kristy Masangya Hastings (Carl); his grandchildren, Brent, Anthony, Aly, Ashton, Payton and Parker; and his siblings, Mary Cheramie, Leslie Masangya, Malcom Melan, Irma Pichoff, Elizabeth Guarneri, Michael Melan, John Melan, Raymond Melan, Albert Masangya and Alma Acain. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
