It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Margretta Fontenot of Mamou, Louisiana, who passed away on November 9, 2021, at the age of 75, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Margretta Fontenot to pay them a last tribute.
She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Johnnie Fuselier of Mamou and Jeanette Fuselier of Mamou; her husband Joseph "Jake" Fontenot; her daughter-in-law Shannon Trahan Fontenot; her children, Chris and Jamie Fontenot; her granddaughters, Leah Brooke Fontenot Lafleur (Lane Lafleur) and Laura Beth Fontenot; her great grandchildren, Adeline and Aiden Lafleur; and her brothers, Johnny, Eddie and Chuck Fuselier.
She was also notoriously frugal (so I need to keep this obituary concise), obsessed with hosing her driveway, and a huge fan of cleaning everything with bleach long before the pandemic.
