He was predeceased by: his wife Glenda Faye Fournerat; his parents, Felca Deshotel and Pauline Ortego Deshotel; and his siblings, John Herbert Deshotel and Mildred Blanchard.
He is survived by: his children, Vickie Deshotel, Kevin Deshotel (Kristie) and Steven Deshotel; his grandchildren, Macy Montelaro (Kip), Ashley Broussard (Bernard), Natalie Balfa (Chase), Kourtnie Roberie (John Mitchell) and Tobie Deshotel; his great grandchildren, Lakelynn, Vanna Faye, Ivan Luke, Zane, Knox, Adlee and Gemma; and his sister Loretta Baker.
Visitation was held on Friday, December 27th 2024 from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Saturday, December 28th 2024 from 8:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Ardoin's Funeral Home (717 6th St, Mamou, LA 70554). A rosary was held on Friday, December 27th 2024 from 6:00 PM to 6:30 PM at the same location. A Mass of Christian burial was held on Saturday, December 28th 2024 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the St Ann Catholic Church (716 6th St, Mamou, LA 70554). A burial was held on Saturday, December 28th 2024 from 12:00 PM to 12:30 PM at the New St. Ann Cemetery (1863 Old Hwy 13, Mamou, LA 70554).
