We are sad to announce that on October 7, 2024, at the age of 90, Edwina F. Chapman of Mamou, Louisiana passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Ortere Fontenot and Vivian Fontenot; her husband Johnny Chapman (Mamou); her son Keith Chapman; and her siblings, Forrest, Joy, Berk, Jane and Francis.
She is survived by: her children, Deborah Kingrey (Strat), Kirk Chapman (Faye) and Jill Clemmons; her grandchild John-Paul Chapman; and her children, Jessica Gallaway, Kathryn Blessington, Eric Barbee, Clay Chapman, Kara Kingrey Hebert, Justin Clemmons and Kaitlyn D'Antoni. She is also survived by 6 great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, October 9th 2024 from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Ardoin's Funeral Home (717 6th St, Mamou, LA 70554). A rosary was held on Wednesday, October 9th 2024 from 11:00 AM to 11:30 AM at the same location. A Mass was held on Wednesday, October 9th 2024 from 1:00 PM to 1:30 PM at the St Ann Catholic Church (716 6th St, Mamou, LA 70554). A burial was held on Wednesday, October 9th 2024 at 1:30 PM at the New St. Ann Cemetery (1863 Old Hwy 13, Mamou, LA 70554).
