It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Donald Ray Berzas of Mamou, Louisiana, who passed away on January 4, 2025, at the age of 68, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward Berzas and Evelyn Landreneau Berzas; his granddaughter Kristen Monique Richard; and his siblings, Edrick Berzas, Harold Berzas and Ida Mae Berzas.
He is survived by: his wife Gerry R. Berzas; his stepchildren, Chris Balfer of Youngsville, Belinda Soileau (Ranson) of Reddell, Kevin Balfer (Sandra) of Pine Prairie and Cherie Richard of Oakdale; his sisters, Mercy Higinbotham of Church Point, Carla Thibodeaux of Mamou and Faye Guidry of Leesville; and his grandchildren, Tabitha Miller, Olivia Reed, Emily Rougeau, Megan Romero, Topher Daniel, Brianna Williams, Jarrett Richard and Justin Richard. He is also survived by his 12 great-grandchildren.
