It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Danzel D. Marcantel Sr. (Mamou, Louisiana), who passed away on February 2, 2022, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Kirby Marcantel and Mary Vezinat Marcantel; and his siblings, Priscilla Marcantel Tate, Elbert Marcantel and Manford Marcantel.

He is survived by: his wife Barbara Marcantel; his son Danzel Marcantel, Jr. of Mamou; his grandchildren, Kristy Thibodeaux, Trey Marcantel and Logan Marcantel; and his great grandchildren, Kaygun Fontenot, Kaylin Marcantel, Blayklee Thibodeaux, A'nah Thibodeaux, Ainsley Marcantel and Layne Davis Marcantel. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
