She was predeceased by: her husband George F. Soileau; her parents, Avince Fontenot and Alcina Guillory Fontenot; and her siblings, Jerry Fontenot, Hazel Evans, Verna Mae Fontenot and Barbara Fontenot.

She is survived by: her children, Christine Soileau, Peter Soileau (Jacque) and Keith Soileau (Patricia); her granddaughter Lillian Soileau; and her nephew David Fontenot.
