With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Aubrey Fontenot Jr. of Mamou, Louisiana, who passed away on August 15, 2021 at the age of 79. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Aubrey Pierre Fontenot, Sr. and Mae Fontenot; his son Damien Fontenot; and his sister Maxie Smith. He is survived by: his wife Freida Fruge Fontenot; his children, Andrea LeBouef (Kyle) of Eunice, Roxanne Deshotels (Christopher) of Mamou, Shelly Gotreaux of Crowley, Betina "Tina" Fontenot of Hull, TX and Aubrey "Opey" Pierre Fontenot, III of Mamou; his stepdaughter Christie Stroncheck (Danny) of Bridge City, TX; and his sisters, Sandra Deshotels (Robert) of Mt. Belview, TX and Connie Wallace of Pasadena, TX.. He is also survived by twelve grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren; four step-grandchildren.
