It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Melvin Anthony Ferlita Sr. of Madisonville, Louisiana, born in New Orleans, Louisiana, who passed away on January 10, 2022, at the age of 80, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Gasper Ferlita and Winnie Loupe Ferlita; his son Brian Keith Ferlita; and his siblings, Kay Joyce Toepher and Kenneth Ferlita.

He is survived by: his wife Alice "Faye" Campo Ferlita; his children, Melvin Anthony Ferlita Jr. (Susan), Gina Ferlita Cutrer and Darlene Ferlita Douglass (Dale); his grandchildren, Aidan, Alexis Ferlita, Courtney, Lindsey Cutrer, William and Joshua Bradford; his godson John Marshall Mederios; and his close friends, Gail and Tommy Gleber. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.

They were such good friends and I got to share him too.They lived right around the corner from up in the city.I remember all those adventures they had together.
