He was predeceased by: his mother Elizabeth Mercedes McNellis; his brother Mark Fulgenzi; and his parents-in-law, Robert Ewell Heath and Helen Battle Heath. He is survived by: his wife Wilhelmina Heath of Augusta; his children, Helen Morgan Fulgenzi and John Michael Heath Fulgenzi; his father Dr. Lawrence Benjamin Fulgenzi; his siblings, William (LaDawn), Robert (Beth) and Helen Fulgenzi Rivero (Carlos); his brothers-in-law, Clayton Chandler (Shirley), Norton Wade (Kim) and Clifton "Chip" Heath (Shelia); and his nieces and nephews, Sharlotte, Rebecca, Max, Reese, Fallon, Ashley, Austin, Robert, David, Marisa, Lauren, Matt, Kate, Ansley, Alexandra, Jordan and Taylor.

Family requests that in lieu of flowers donations be made to North Cross United Methodist Church in John's memory.
