He was predeceased by: his parents, William Arthur Graves Calmes and Francis Adelia Davis Calmes; and his brothers, William R. Calmes (Dottie) and Speck Calmes. He is survived by: his wife Lynn Graham Calmes; his children, Daniel Calmes, Lauren Calmes Zito (Jason) and Ellen Calmes Cruz; his grandchildren, Julie Anne, Beaux, Lana Calmes, Kinsley Cruz, Keaton and Kara Zito; and his siblings, Gail Calmes Arnone (Tony), Ronnie Calmes, Dennis Calmes (Carol), Corliss Calmes Thorn (Carl) and Gary Calmes. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, and wonderful lifelong friends.
