He was predeceased by: his parents, Gilbert Collins and Amelia Joseph Collins; his wife Louella Collins; his children, Marjorie O'Campo and Richard Collins; his siblings, Harry Collins, Felilx Lopez, Corrine Boutte, Frances Olivier and Alma Boutte; and his children-in-law, Gail Smith, Michel Joseph and Miguel Trujillo.
He is survived by: his children, Alton Collins (Betty), Mildred Trujillo of Patterson, Catherine Joseph (Glen Vallot) of New Iberia, Lavergne Boutte (Terry Boutte, Sr.) of Jeanerette and Sarah Guidry of New Iberia; and his son-in-law Jorge O'Campo, Sr. of Patterson. He is also survived by 19 grandchildren; 35 great-grandchildren; and 7 great-great-grandchildren.
