Verna Simon Romero Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Verna Simon Romero (Lydia, Louisiana), who passed away on January 30, 2021, at the age of 80, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Ray Simon and Octavia Harrington Simon; her children, Rickey Romero and Shawn R. Menard; and her granddaughter Kortni Duhon.

She is survived by: her son Marvin Romero Bourque; her grandchildren, Megan Bourque, Shawntell Girard, Britny Bourque, Trey Renard, Baylee Girard, Caden Girard, Zaiden Girard, Makinlee Girard, Brylee Bourque and Alerah Renard; and her siblings, Alton Simon, Ruby Alleman, Lester Simon, Rita Duhon, Margaret Louviere, Lorna Viator, Beulah Charpentier and Karen Simon. She is also survived by nieces, nephews and dear friends.
