He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Thompson and Septima Boutte; his brothers, Calvin Thompson, Lawrence Thompson, Sr., Peter Thompson and Junius Boutte; his sisters-in-law, Elvina Thompson and Audrey Boutte; and his grandson Melvin Thompson.
He is survived by: his wife Ethel O. Thompson of Patoutville, LA; his children, Tommy Manuel (Dianne) of Thibodaux, LA, Perry Thompson (Patricia) of New Iberia, LA, Terry Thompson (Ursula) of Patoutville, LA, Jeremiah Thompson, Jr. (Terri) of Jeanerette, LA, Peggy Boutte (Walter, Jr.) of Patoutville, LA, Judy Thompson (Tim Merrick) of New Iberia, LA and Ernadean Thompson (Jay Johnson) of Lafayette, LA; his siblings, Louis Thompson (Alice) of Grand Marias, LA and Mary Murphy; and his sisters-in-law, Leona Thompson of Patoutville, LA, Jacqueline Thompson of Katy, TX and Lawerence Thompson, Jr. of Grand Marais, LA. He is also survived by 20 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
