He is survived by: his daughter Kristen Derise (Nicolas Engle) of Youngsville; his mother Mae Derise of Lydia; his siblings, Tod Derise of Lydia and Cyd Buteau (Karl) of Jeanerette; his grandchildren, Brennan Engle and Harlee Engle; his nephews, Ryan Buteau of Loreauville and Michael Buteau of Lafayette; and his great-niece Emmeline Buteau.
