She was predeceased by: her husband Joseph Bell Thompson, Jr.; her son Joseph Bell Thompson, III; her parents, Brignac Bourgeois of Louisiana and Edgar Bourgeois; and her siblings, Ivy, Melvin, Irvin, Charlie, Pershing, Garland, Ferrel and Roger Bourgeois. She is also survived by 25 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
