He was predeceased by: his parents, Myrtle Roper, and Claude Roper, Sr.; his brother Claude Roper, Jr.; and his goddaughter Crystal Roper. He is survived by: his wife Odile LeBlanc Roper; his children, Denise Marzilli (Ray) and Dwayne Roper (Shannon); and his grandchildren, Lance (Kami), Chelsea (Aiden), Caleb and Katelyn.
