He is survived by: his children, Julia Anderson, Celestine Colbert, Aleah Melancon, Clarence, Jr., Layone, Lawrence and Marcus Melancon; and his siblings, Shelia Pierce (Laymon) and Terry Patterson (Joyce). He is also survived by numerous grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
