He was predeceased by: his foster parents, James Smith and Leona Smith; his parents, Willie Mae Ware and Kenneth Kesey; his granddaughter Veleaka W. Covino; his siblings, Mary Helen Blackburn (Brown) and Fred Kesey (Jewel); and his brother-in-law Gerald Laiche.
He is survived by: his wife Janet Laiche Kesey; his children, Glenda K. Horton, Lanny Kesey, Debbie K. Miller and Billy J. Kesey (Sheila); his son-in-law Richard Horton; his grandchildren, Reed Horton (Tiffany), Grant Horton (Ashley), Matthew Kesey, Natasha K. Cottello (Justin), Tommy Weddington (Noy) and Hannah Kesey; and his siblings-in-law, Julius Laiche (Florette) and Marie Cashio. He is also survived by 13 great-grandchildren.
