She was predeceased by: her parents, Joseph Charles and Essie King Matherne; and her siblings, Joseph Charles Matherne Jr. (Jo Ann), Virgil Matherne (Patricia), Lawrence Matherne (Carolyn), Lucille Delaney (Franklin) and Gerald Matherne (Edna).
She is survived by: her husband Roberto Pelingon Jr.; her children, Wayne Pelingon Sr. (Virginia) and Ivannia Pelingon Dejoie (Carl Sr.); her grandchildren, Yosennia Dejoie, Wayne Pelingon Jr. (Lillian), Celaida Dejoie, Carl Dejoie Jr., Benjamin Pelingon, Neil Dejoie, Joshua Pelingon and Gabriella Pelingon; her great grandchildren, Sophia Pelingon, Liam Pelingon and Cooper Bennett; and her siblings, Hulon Matherne (Deanna) and Claude Matherne (Claire). She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
